Does this define the literal meaning of ironic?

At the beginning of the week the weather was still cool. I had noticed two doves flying around in front of my living room window. This started on the Monday. So, when Tuesday came the doves did the same thing. So I thought that quite a few years ago, I had put a hanging plant and planter outside.

Over the years I had never replaced the planter and left it hanging empty.

So, I got the hanging planter from indoors and hung it outside thinking maybe this is what the doves wanted. Sure enough within two hours the doves started building a nest in the planter. So, this part of the story mixes with a story I read on Medium.

The story was to the effect of putting your thoughts out into the universe and both mentally and verbally asking for the things you want. So this is what I did and the weekend before the Monday that the doves made mention of their new home, I asked for money, as the bills were piling up and that sort of thing. The story went on to state that it’s about creating an idea and making it come back to you.

Sure enough by Thursday close to $1500.00 was deposited into my account, money in arrears owed to me. After an update in my file.

The irony of it all I had wrote a poem called “City Doves” it is now in a book that was sold exclusively at a Hartford Art Show. Luck in more ways than one maybe, eh?
